Yes, he is our definitely best player of the year and for me he is our Chelsea best player of the season. Only conceded 13 goals at home and 19 goals away in the league is really counted for an achievement. If only our midfielders and attackers can duplicate last season performances, Chelsea must have been enthroned champion since the beginning of the year with a very wide margin of points. But in the end, our midfielders and attackers as if run out of ideas to break through the defense and the opposing goal. We looks like losing inspiration and followed by the injury of a few players who became the mainstay and source of goals supply for Chelsea so our solidity and balance to the game that characterizes Chelsea did not appear this season. And then came those ‘’dark’’ moments appeared in November-December 2010.
Chelsea has always been an easy target for the attackers opponent, and then came David Luiz to provide fresh air in the Chelsea defense, although not so good about how to adapt to survive in the Premier League.
With the continuing pressures to Chelsea's defense, finally we just rely on to Petr Cech, Chelsea's players last bastion of defense. We never doubted his superb abilities in creating crucial rescues though there is a part of us Chelsea fans doubted his ability after being exposed by that head injury (yes, we will never forget you Hunt!).
Petr Cech, deserves this award and will deserve to be included in the list of players who become Chelsea legend along with John Terry, Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba.
OK, and we also congratulate Ashley Cole (the best players player), Josh McEachran (best young players) and Ron''Chopper''Harris (Special Recognition award).

Cech is a great goalkeeper, one of the best worldwide and this year 2012 was phenomenal, he and Drogba did a great job in the Champions league final match, he deserves to be the player of the year as much as I deserve to be the sports bookmaker of the year too hehe
